Hyderabad‑based CtrlS Datacenters has signed a letter of intent with the Bihar government to set up a 150 MW hyperscale AI data centre in Bodh Gaya, backed by a Rs 10,000 crore investment.
CtrlS Datacenters, a leading Indian data‑centre operator, announced a plan to pour Rs 10,000 crore into a new hyperscale artificial‑intelligence facility in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. The project, designed to deliver 150 MW of power, aims to bolster the region’s digital infrastructure and attract AI‑driven enterprises.
The company has formalised the proposal by signing a Letter of Intent with the Bihar state government, outlining the scope, timelines and regulatory support required for the venture. Officials from both sides said the investment will create substantial employment opportunities and position Bihar as a hub for high‑performance computing.
While the AI factory is the centerpiece of the agreement, CtrlS also marked the occasion by inaugurating a separate Rs 400 crore initiative, underscoring its aggressive expansion strategy across India’s data‑centre market.
Industry analysts view the move as a signal that Indian data‑centre capacity is gearing up to meet growing demand from cloud, fintech and AI service providers. The project is expected to commence construction later this year, subject to land allocation and power‑supply clearances.
The partnership reflects Bihar’s broader push to attract technology investments and diversify its economic base, with the state government pledging incentives and streamlined approvals for large‑scale digital projects.
