Following India's recent victory, cricketers Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Verma attended the early‑morning ash Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, accompanied by hockey player Vivek Prasad.

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh – On Monday morning, two members of India's cricket squad, fast bowler Kuldeep Yadav and all‑rounder Tilak Verma, visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple to take part in the traditional ash Aarti. The players arrived shortly after the team's recent win and joined devotees in offering prayers to Lord Shiva.

The ceremony, known locally as bhasma aarti, involves the sprinkling of sacred ash on the deity and participants. Both cricketers were seen standing alongside temple priests, observing the rituals and seeking blessings for future matches.

Hockey midfielder Vivek Prasad also made his way to the shrine, receiving the same benediction from the priest. The presence of athletes from two different sports underscored the cultural significance of the temple among national sportspersons.

Officials from the respective sports federations did not comment on the visit, but the gathering highlighted the players' gratitude and the role of faith in their post‑victory celebrations.

The Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, continues to attract high‑profile visitors, especially after major sporting successes, reinforcing its status as a spiritual hub in central India.
