Court Orders Live-in Couple to Report to Police Every 15 Days Amid Life Threat Allegations

A Delhi court on Tuesday ordered a live‑in couple to report to the police every 15 days after the pair alleged that their lives were threatened. The couple, whose names were not disclosed, approached the court seeking protection and claimed that a third party had threatened them with violence. In response, the judge directed the couple to file a police report at fortnightly intervals to ensure that law enforcement remains aware of the situation. The court also instructed the police to keep the couple’s safety in mind while conducting investigations. The couple’s legal counsel said they would comply with the order and continue to seek further protection if needed.
