Following a district court order, officials seized two vehicles, computers and laptops from the Bhopal Health Directorate to recover outstanding dues exceeding ₹4 crore.
Officials of the Bhopal Health Directorate were served with a seizure notice after a district court directed the recovery of long‑pending payments. Enforcement teams entered the directorate’s premises and confiscated two motor vehicles along with several computers and laptops used for office work.
The court order stems from a dispute over unpaid dues that the directorate owes to a private supplier. The supplier’s legal representative disclosed that, together with accrued interest, the outstanding amount now exceeds four crore rupees.
According to the advocate, the seizure is intended to secure the debt while the directorate is given a limited window to settle the liability or face further legal action. The move underscores the judiciary’s willingness to enforce financial obligations against government bodies.
