The Civic Trust Union (CoTU) in Manipur has formally endorsed the Kangla Sanmarg Samiti’s (KSO) demand for unrestricted movement of essential supplies along the IT Road.
CoTU’s statement, released on Tuesday, calls on the state government to remove existing restrictions that have impeded the flow of food, medicine and other critical goods to the Imphal region.
KSO’s appeal, which has gained traction among local traders and residents, argues that the current limitations on vehicle movement are causing shortages and inflating prices.
The IT Road, a key artery connecting Imphal to surrounding districts, has seen increased traffic of supply trucks in recent months, prompting the demand for smoother logistics.
