Congress workers march on foot in Mungawali, Ashoknagar, submit six-point demand to SDM

Congress activists walked from Ganesh Shankar Chowk to the Nagar Parishad in Mungawali, Ashoknagar, and handed a memorandum with six demands to the Sub‑Divisional Magistrate.
A delegation of Congress party workers staged a foot march in Mungawali, a town in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday. Starting from Ganesh Shankar Chowk, the group walked to the Nagar Parishad building, where they met the Sub‑Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and submitted a written memorandum.
The memorandum listed six specific demands aimed at addressing local grievances. Among the issues raised were the alleged issuance of fraudulent lease agreements, the need for immediate repair and widening of deteriorating roads, improvement of street‑level cleanliness, and the implementation of a housing scheme for low‑income families.
Party representatives said the protest was intended to highlight the growing frustration of residents over these unresolved civic problems. They urged the district administration to act swiftly on the demands, emphasizing that the issues affect daily life and the welfare of the community.
The SDM acknowledged receipt of the memorandum and promised to forward it to the relevant authorities for further action. No arrests or clashes were reported during the peaceful demonstration.
