The Indian National Congress has stated it remains open to negotiating seat-sharing arrangements with the Samajwadi Party for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
The Congress party has clarified that it is willing to discuss seat-sharing arrangements with the Samajwadi Party as per the constitutional framework. The statement comes ahead of the 2024 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, where both parties are seeking to expand their influence. While the Congress has not disclosed specific seat numbers, it emphasized flexibility and mutual benefit in any alliance. Analysts note that a partnership could consolidate anti-BJP votes in key constituencies.
