Congress Reviews Local Body Loss, Eyes Panchayat Elections in Rajasthan

The party’s leadership convened a series of internal meetings after the recent local body elections in Rajasthan resulted in a setback for Congress. Senior officials highlighted gaps in organisational coordination and on‑ground management as key factors behind the loss.

A task force has been set up to examine constituency‑level data, voter outreach efforts and the effectiveness of booth‑level workers. The aim is to pinpoint specific weaknesses and to recalibrate the party’s grassroots network ahead of the panchayat polls scheduled later this year.
