New Delhi – The Indian National Congress submitted a written protest to the United Nations after a recent UN map portrayed Arunachal Pradesh as part of the People’s Republic of China. The party described the depiction as "unacceptable" and urged the UN to correct the error, emphasizing that the region has been an integral part of India since independence.
Congress leaders highlighted the long‑standing border dispute between India and China, noting that the map could undermine India’s diplomatic stance and fuel further tensions along the Line of Actual Control. They called on the Indian government to raise the matter at the highest diplomatic levels.
