Congress Protest Over Alleged Vote Theft Turns Violent in Jaipur, Leaders Detained

Congress activists marched from Shaheed Smarak to the Election Commission office in Jaipur alleging vote theft; police clashed with the protesters and detained senior leaders including Gahlot and Dotasra.
Earlier today, Congress activists gathered at the Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur and began a march towards the Election Commission office, alleging that votes had been tampered with in recent elections. The demonstrators carried placards and chanted slogans demanding an inquiry into the alleged vote theft.
Police set up barricades along the route and attempted to halt the procession. A confrontation ensued when protesters tried to breach the barriers, leading to a brief clash in which police used batons and water cannons.
The police detained several senior Congress leaders, including state party officials Gahlot and Dotasra, along with other participants. Those arrested were taken to a local police station for questioning.
The incident has heightened tensions ahead of upcoming electoral activities in Rajasthan, with the Election Commission yet to comment on the allegations.
