Meenakshi Natarajan, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress from Telangana, has confirmed that she will travel to London for a ten‑month study break.
The decision follows a recent controversy surrounding the allocation of a Rajya Sabha ticket, which created internal debate within the party.
To devote full attention to her academic pursuits, Natarajan will step down from her position as the in‑charge of the Telangana Congress unit. The party has not yet announced a replacement for the role.
