Former chief minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh addressed reporters in Indore, asserting that the foundation stone of the Ayodhya Ram temple was laid while a Congress government was in power. He emphasized that the Congress has never opposed the temple project and portrayed the BJP’s role as limited to collecting donations.
Singh further accused the ruling BJP of electoral malpractices, alleging vote‑rigging and misappropriation of temple funds. He framed the claim as evidence of the BJP’s focus on financial gains rather than genuine religious or cultural initiatives.
