The Indian National Congress announced a two‑month, country‑wide protest titled 'Vote Bachao Desh Bachao' aimed at mobilising voters ahead of upcoming elections.
New Delhi — The Indian National Congress unveiled a two‑month protest campaign called “Vote Bachao Desh Bachao” on Monday, signalling a fresh mobilisation drive ahead of the next general elections. Party leaders described the initiative as a “nation‑wide call to protect democratic values and ensure a clean vote”.
The schedule outlines a series of rallies, public meetings and door‑to‑door outreach in every state, beginning next week and continuing for sixty days. Organisers say the campaign will focus on voter education, anti‑corruption messaging and urging citizens to reject communal politics.
Congress officials expect participation from senior party figures as well as grassroots volunteers, with simultaneous events planned in major cities and smaller towns. Analysts note that the protest could test the party’s organisational capacity and influence voter sentiment in key swing constituencies.
