Congress and BJP have clashed over the use of Form 7 during Karnataka's ongoing voter roll revision. Both parties accuse each other of attempting to manipulate the electoral list.
The disagreement emerged as election officials began the routine revision of voter lists in Karnataka, a process that requires citizens to submit Form 7 for objections, deletions or corrections.
Congress leaders alleged that BJP workers were filing false objections through Form 7 to remove genuine voters from the rolls, while BJP representatives countered that Congress was attempting to insert ineligible names.
State election authorities said they are scrutinizing all Form 7 submissions and have urged both parties to maintain decorum during the revision exercise.
