The Indian National Congress has named Aradhna Mishra Mona as Uttar Pradesh chief and Imran Masood as president ahead of the 2027 state elections.
New Delhi – The Indian National Congress announced a reshuffle of its Uttar Pradesh leadership on Tuesday. Aradhna Mishra Mona has been appointed as the state chief, taking charge of the party’s strategy and organization in the northern state.
Alongside her, senior leader Imran Masood has been given the role of president, tasked with overseeing the party’s campaign machinery as the 2027 assembly elections approach.
The appointments are part of Congress’s effort to revamp its state unit and present a unified front ahead of the upcoming polls, which are scheduled for 2027.
Party officials said the changes aim to strengthen grassroots outreach and improve coordination among party workers across Uttar Pradesh.
The new leadership will report to the national Congress president and is expected to formulate a roadmap for contesting the 2027 elections.
