Congress and Samajwadi Party Forge UP Election Alliance

In a significant development for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Indian National Congress has announced a seat-sharing agreement with the Samajwadi Party. The Congress will contest 170 seats out of the total 403 seats in the state assembly. This alliance aims to present a united opposition against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the crucial elections. The decision comes after months of negotiations between the two parties, and is seen as a strategic move to consolidate opposition votes and challenge the BJP's dominance in Uttar Pradesh.
