Complaint Against Private Company for Allegedly Defrauding Workers of ₹17 Crore
Vetrivel of Jagir Ammapalayam in Salem has filed a complaint against Raj Vignesh Cold Storage, a company operating in Salem.
According to the complaint, around 50 workers employed at the company were allegedly promised loans and salary increments. Their signatures were reportedly obtained on this pretext, and a fraud amounting to ₹17 crore is alleged to have taken place.
The complaint also states that bank employees have been visiting the workers’ homes and troubling them in connection with loans obtained from banks.
Seeking legal action against the company’s owners, Parthiban, State Joint General Secretary of the Human Rights Association, submitted a petition to the District Collector.
