Cold Wave Sweeps Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand as IMD Issues Rain Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert as a cold wave moves across northern India, impacting the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Meteorologists say the drop in temperature is expected to bring cooler conditions and intermittent showers over the next few days. Residents in the affected districts have been advised to stay prepared for sudden rain showers and to take precautionary measures against the cold. Local authorities are monitoring the situation and have urged commuters to exercise caution on roads that may become slippery. The alert remains in force until the weather system moves eastward, after which conditions are expected to moderate.
