The Chief Minister’s latest initiative to develop the state’s food‑processing industry has attracted proposals totaling ₹43,437 crore from a range of private firms and investors.
The proposals, submitted in response to the government’s call for investment, cover a spectrum of projects including modern processing units, cold‑storage facilities and value‑added manufacturing.
In a statement, the CM highlighted that the influx of capital would create jobs, improve supply‑chain efficiency and position the state as a key player in the national food‑processing market.
The proposals are part of a broader strategy to establish a food‑processing cluster that will link farmers, processors and exporters, thereby boosting the agricultural economy.
The government plans to review the proposals in the coming weeks and will announce the selected projects in a subsequent announcement.
