Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday to commission a set of projects valued at Rs 305 crore. The inauguration covered a mix of infrastructure, health and education initiatives aimed at boosting the district's socio‑economic profile.
During the ceremony, Yogi highlighted the government's commitment to eradicating criminal elements that have historically hampered development, stating that such large‑scale investments will weaken the grip of mafia networks in the region.
State officials said the projects will create jobs, improve connectivity and enhance public services for the local population. The CM urged residents to cooperate with the administration to ensure timely completion of the works.
The event was attended by senior officials, local representatives and community leaders, who welcomed the funding as a significant step toward transforming Deoria's growth trajectory.
