Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will be in Chamba tomorrow for Holi celebrations and to inaugurate several development projects.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is scheduled to visit the town of Chamba on Thursday to take part in the region’s Holi celebrations. The visit coincides with the launch of a series of infrastructure and welfare projects that the state government has earmarked for the district.
Sources indicate that the projects include road upgrades, school renovations and a new health sub‑centre, aimed at improving connectivity and basic services in the hilly area. Officials said the initiatives are part of the government’s broader push to accelerate development in remote parts of the state.
The CM is expected to address a gathering of local residents, community leaders and officials, highlighting the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth. The Holi event, a major cultural festival, will feature traditional music, dance and the customary throwing of colours, providing a festive backdrop to the official program.
Security arrangements have been tightened, with police deploying additional personnel to manage crowds and ensure smooth conduct of both the celebrations and the project inaugurations.
