The flyover was prompted by reports of increasing water levels and visible erosion along the riverbank, which have raised concerns for nearby communities. Following the survey, the CM convened a review meeting with district officials, disaster‑management teams and engineers to assess the situation and discuss mitigation steps. Officials were instructed to monitor water levels continuously, reinforce embankments and prepare evacuation plans if required. The state government affirmed that resources will be allocated for immediate relief and long‑term riverbank protection, emphasizing its focus on disaster preparedness.
