Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to roll out the AI‑based Sanjeevani healthcare system across Andhra Pradesh starting January 1, aiming for a major transformation in service delivery.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu instructed the state health department and related officials to commence the Sanjeevani project, an artificial‑intelligence platform for healthcare, across all districts of Andhra Pradesh from 1 January. The directive emphasizes a swift and coordinated rollout to ensure the system is operational in both urban hospitals and rural primary health centres.
Sanjeevani is designed to harness AI for tasks such as patient triage, diagnostic assistance, treatment recommendation and real‑time health‑record management. By automating routine processes, the government expects faster decision‑making, reduced errors and broader access to quality care for the state's 5 crore residents.
The administration has tasked senior officials with preparing the necessary digital infrastructure, training medical staff on the new tools, and establishing data‑security protocols. Regular monitoring and performance audits will be conducted to gauge the impact on health outcomes.
