Chief Minister Mohan Yadav marked Krishna Janmashtami at the official residence by holding infant Gopal, breaking a ceremonial pot and serving butter‑mishri to children.
The Chief Minister's official residence was filled with devotional fervor on Janmashtami as Mohan Yadav led a traditional celebration. The event began with the CM cradling a baby doll representing infant Lord Krishna, known as Bal Gopal, in his arms.
In keeping with the customary "Dahi Handi"‑style ritual, Yadav broke a clay pot (matki) placed high on a rope, symbolising the playful acts of the deity. The act was witnessed by a gathering of children and staff members who cheered the spectacle.
