Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a bonus exceeding ₹30 crore for 3.69 lakh tendu leaf collectors during a ceremony in Betul, alongside the inauguration of development projects worth over ₹443 crore.
During a public event in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav disclosed that the state government will credit more than ₹30 crore as a bonus to the accounts of approximately 3.69 lakh tendu leaf collectors. The payment, described as a reward for the collectors' contribution to the state's forest-based economy, will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
The announcement was made as part of a broader financial package aimed at supporting informal forest workers. While the bonus figure was highlighted, officials noted that the funds have already been allocated in the state budget and will be disbursed in the coming weeks.
In the same ceremony, the CM also inaugurated the land‑allocation and foundation‑stone laying for development projects valued at over ₹443 crore across the district, signalling a dual focus on immediate livelihood support and long‑term infrastructure growth.
