Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that Tikamgarh will host a new Kundeshwar Lok modeled after Mahakal and a steel plant worth Rs 3,000 crore.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday declared a major development package for Tikamgarh district, promising the creation of a cultural complex named Kundeshwar Lok, inspired by the iconic Mahakal shrine. The announcement was made during a public meeting in the district headquarters, where the CM highlighted the project's role in boosting tourism and preserving regional heritage.
The Kundeshwar Lok project will involve the construction of temples, visitor facilities and supporting infrastructure designed to emulate the architectural style of the Mahakal temple. Officials said the site will be developed in phases, with initial groundwork expected to begin within the next few months.
In parallel, the state government approved the establishment of a steel manufacturing unit in Tikamgarh valued at approximately Rs 3,000 crore. The plant is slated to commence operations after securing land and necessary clearances, and is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities for the local workforce.
Both initiatives are part of the CM's broader strategy to attract investment to Madhya Pradesh's under‑developed regions, aiming to spur economic growth and improve living standards in the district.
