Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the majority of illicit drugs reaching Punjab are now coming from states governed by the BJP, according to his remarks reported by The Hindu.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told reporters that recent data shows about 80 per cent of the narcotics seized in Punjab originate from states ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said the trend points to a shift in drug trafficking routes, with the BJP-ruled regions now acting as major supply hubs for Punjab's drug market.

Kejriwal urged the central government and state administrations to intensify inter‑state coordination and border checks to curb the flow of illegal substances. He warned that the growing influx threatens the safety of Punjab's youth and undermines law‑and‑order efforts.

The statement, published in The Hindu, comes amid heightened political debate over drug control policies across northern India. While Kejriwal highlighted the BJP's alleged role, officials from the concerned states have not yet responded to the claim.
