Assam's chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma remarked that the Congress party was defeated in the Silchar civic elections even though it had ballot papers, after the results were announced.
The recent civic elections in Silchar concluded with the Congress party failing to secure a victory, according to the official results released by the local election authority.
