Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann opened 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics in Harakhwal, Hoshiarpur, aiming to expand primary healthcare access across the state.

Punjab's chief minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, presided over the inauguration of 154 Aam Aadmi Clinics on Wednesday in the village of Harakhwal, Hoshiarpur district. The ceremony was attended by local officials and health department representatives, marking the latest phase of the state government's effort to strengthen primary care.
The newly launched clinics are intended to provide affordable medical services to residents in rural and semi‑urban areas, offering basic diagnostics, maternal‑child health care, and chronic disease monitoring. Each centre is equipped with a doctor, nurse and essential medicines, aiming to reduce the travel burden for patients who previously relied on distant hospitals.
Mann emphasized that the initiative targets the common man, promising that the clinics will operate on a no‑fee basis for essential services. He highlighted the government's commitment to bridging health disparities and improving early disease detection across Punjab.
The rollout is part of a broader health mission that seeks to establish a network of such clinics throughout the state, with plans to monitor usage and outcomes to refine service delivery.
