The Counter‑Insurgency and Counter‑Terrorism Cadre organized by CIJW School in Vairengte concluded after four weeks, training officers of the Arunachal Pradesh Police Special Task Force.

The Counter‑Insurgency and Counter‑Terrorism Cadre conducted by the Counter‑Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) School in Vairengte wrapped up after a four‑week intensive program. The course was attended by personnel from the Arunachal Pradesh Police Special Task Force, aimed at enhancing their operational capabilities against insurgent and terrorist threats.

During the training, participants underwent classroom sessions on threat assessment, tactical planning, and legal aspects of counter‑terrorism, complemented by field exercises that simulated real‑world scenarios. Instructors from the CIJW School, which is a premier institution under the Indian Army, provided hands‑on guidance in weapons handling, close‑quarter combat, and jungle warfare techniques.

The completion of the programme is expected to bolster the STF's readiness in the strategically sensitive northeastern region, where cross‑border infiltration and internal security challenges persist. Officials from both the school and the Arunachal Pradesh Police praised the collaborative effort and highlighted plans for future joint training initiatives.
