The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has introduced new measures to combat water scarcity, including GPS tracking of water tankers, OTP-based access, and CCTV monitoring.
Facing a growing water crisis, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced a series of measures to ensure better water management. These include implementing GPS tracking systems for all water tankers operating within its jurisdiction. This will allow for real-time monitoring of tanker movement and distribution, helping to prevent pilferage and ensure equitable water allocation.
In addition to GPS tracking, CIDCO is also introducing OTP-based access to water tankers. This system will require authorized personnel to receive a one-time password (OTP) to access water tankers and prevent unauthorized distribution. CCTV cameras will be installed at strategic locations to monitor tanker operations and deter any illegal activities.
