The District Collector of Churachandpur has initiated a review of the escalating dengue, hand‑foot‑mouth disease and typhoid outbreaks in the district.

On Tuesday, the District Collector of Churachandpur toured several health centres across the district to assess the surge in dengue, hand‑foot‑mouth disease (HFMD) and typhoid cases.
He held a briefing with the district health officer, local medical staff and representatives from the state health department to gather data on current case numbers and laboratory capacity.
Preliminary figures suggest a marked increase in reported infections over the past month, prompting concerns about potential outbreaks during the monsoon season.
The review will culminate in a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening vector control, expanding diagnostic facilities and launching public awareness campaigns.
