A child’s head was severed in a violent incident that led a crowd to set a truck on fire, creating a two‑kilometre traffic jam in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, and resulting in the death of two students.
Mandsaur district officials reported that a gruesome incident occurred on a local road when a child's head was severed from the body. The shocking scene prompted a gathering crowd to set the involved truck ablaze, intensifying the chaos.
The fire and ensuing unrest blocked the highway for approximately two kilometres, bringing traffic to a standstill and delaying commuters and transport vehicles across the region.
Emergency services arrived to control the blaze and attend to the injured. Two students who were present at the site succumbed to their injuries, according to local authorities.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the violence and are questioning witnesses. The district administration has urged the public to cooperate and maintain calm while the inquiry proceeds.
