Child Falls into Open Manhole at GMC Baramulla, Escapes with Minor Injuries

A child fell into an uncovered manhole at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir, early this morning.

Emergency services were called promptly and the boy was rescued from the manhole by paramedics within minutes.

He sustained minor injuries, including a bruised arm and superficial cuts, and was taken to the college hospital for treatment.

Medical staff confirmed that the injuries are not serious and the child is expected to recover fully.

Authorities have urged the college to secure all open manholes to prevent similar incidents.
