The Chhattisgarh government has signed two pacts under the Prime Minister's GatiShakti initiative, targeting geospatial data integration and logistics planning to boost state infrastructure.
Chhattisgarh's state administration formalised two agreements today under the Prime Minister's GatiShakti framework. The pacts focus on harnessing geospatial technologies and streamlining logistics planning, aiming to improve the efficiency of transport corridors and public works across the state.
The geospatial component will enable better mapping of terrain, assets and infrastructure, facilitating data‑driven decision‑making for future projects. Meanwhile, the logistics agreement seeks to coordinate freight movement, reduce bottlenecks, and align state initiatives with the national multimodal transport network.
Officials said the dual approach is expected to accelerate development timelines, attract investment, and enhance connectivity for industry and citizens alike. The agreements were signed in the presence of senior state officials and representatives of the central GatiShakti mission.
The state plans to roll out pilot projects in the coming months, with regular monitoring to assess impact on transport costs and project delivery speed.
