The Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh praised security forces after reporting that no army personnel have been martyred in Bastar during the last twelve months.

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister (DyCM) publicly acknowledged the efforts of the state's security apparatus, noting that no jawan has been martyred in the Bastar region over the past year. The statement was made during a briefing on the security situation in the tribal district, which has long been a focal point of insurgent activity.

The DyCM highlighted that sustained operations by the army, police and paramilitary units have contributed to a marked decline in casualties among security personnel. He emphasized that the coordinated approach has helped maintain relative stability in an area that historically witnessed frequent clashes.

While the declaration underscores a positive trend for the forces, officials reiterated that vigilance remains essential. Ongoing counter‑insurgency measures continue to target extremist groups operating in the dense forests and remote villages of Bastar.

The deputy chief minister concluded by urging continued community cooperation and reaffirming the government's commitment to safeguarding both security personnel and civilians in the district.
