Chhattisgarh says the Naxal insurgency has been largely contained and the state is now turning its focus to accelerated development, reports V.P. Radhakrishnan of The Economic Times.

The Economic Times quotes V.P. Radhakrishnan stating that Chhattisgarh has moved past the period of intense Naxal activity that once hampered its growth. Officials say security operations and community outreach have reduced insurgent influence across the state.

With the security situation stabilising, the state government is prioritising infrastructure, education and health projects that were previously delayed. New road networks, power supply upgrades and investment incentives are being rolled out to attract private capital.

Analysts note that the shift from conflict to development could reshape Chhattisgarh's economic profile, turning it into a hub for manufacturing and agriculture. While challenges remain, the administration is confident that the reduced Naxal threat will sustain a longer-term growth trajectory.

Local leaders have urged citizens to support the development agenda, emphasizing that peace and prosperity are now mutually reinforcing goals for the state.
