The CETP Society has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Chaudhary Charan Singh University to launch a pollution‑free initiative for Jhilmil Friends Colony in Delhi.
Delhi – The CETP Society, an environmental advocacy group, has formalised a partnership with Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) through a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement targets the residential Jhilmil Friends Colony, aiming to reduce pollution levels and improve the local environment.
Under the MoU, the university will mobilise its faculty, students and research resources to support waste segregation, air‑quality monitoring and community awareness programmes. CETP Society will provide technical expertise and coordinate on‑ground clean‑up drives, tree‑planting activities and the installation of eco‑friendly infrastructure.
Both parties intend to create a replicable model for other neighbourhoods in the capital, leveraging academic research and grassroots participation. The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on collaborative solutions to urban pollution challenges in Delhi.
The MoU was signed recently, and implementation plans are expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks, with periodic reviews to assess impact on air and environmental quality.
