The Union government denied Congress MP Revanth Reddy's request to travel to the United States and said the denial was appropriate.
New Delhi – The Union government has refused a request submitted by Congress Member of Parliament Revanth Reddy to travel to the United States. The decision was communicated to the MP’s office without providing a detailed justification.
In a brief statement, a spokesperson for the Centre described the denial as "appropriate" under the prevailing circumstances. No further comment was offered on the specific reasons behind the refusal.
The development adds to the ongoing political discourse surrounding foreign travel permissions for elected representatives, a subject that often draws scrutiny from opposition parties and civil society alike.
