According to the government’s submission, forensic analysis of the recording indicates that the audio was edited and that the words attributed to Biren Singh do not match the original source material.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has requested that the clip be removed from all media platforms and has urged the court to consider legal action against those responsible for its distribution.
The Supreme Court has acknowledged receipt of the Centre’s brief and will decide whether to take further action. No immediate ruling has been issued.
