CBI team of around ten reaches merchant’s house in Rohini, woman refuses to open gate

Delhi police are investigating an incident in Rohini where a group of about ten individuals arrived at a merchant’s house claiming to be officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation. The family inside grew suspicious of the visitors, and the woman present asked the entrants to produce a red‑paper notice, a standard document used by CBI for official visits. When the request was not met, she refused to open the gate.

CCTV footage from the premises is being examined to verify the identities of the alleged officers and to determine whether any official notice was presented. Investigators are also reviewing a purported notice that may have been left at the scene.

The police have not yet confirmed whether the visitors were genuine CBI agents or impostors. The matter remains under active inquiry as authorities seek to prevent potential fraud and ensure public safety.

The incident highlights growing concerns about unauthorized individuals misrepresenting law‑enforcement agencies to gain access to private properties.
