The Central Bureau of Investigation has formally charged thirteen individuals, including teachers, for allegedly leaking NEET‑UG 2026 exam questions after accessing them from home.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against thirteen persons in connection with the alleged leak of NEET‑UG 2026 exam questions. The investigation points to a group of teachers who reportedly memorised the questions after receiving daily access to the paper from their homes.

According to the CBI, the reconstructed questions were subsequently circulated to private coaching institutes across several states. A beautician is said to have formatted the leaked material for sale, further widening the distribution network.

The chargesheet alleges that the leak involved a systematic scheme that exploited the teachers’ positions and the translation work they performed for the exam. The CBI has stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that additional evidence is being collected.

The case has drawn attention to the security protocols of national entrance examinations and has prompted calls for stricter safeguards to prevent future breaches.
