The Centre for Buddhist Culture (CBC) in Agartala organised an integrated communication and outreach programme on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Berimura Higher Secondary School in Bamutia, West Tripura.

The Centre for Buddhist Culture (CBC) based in Agartala held an integrated communication and outreach programme focusing on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The event took place at Berimura Higher Secondary School in the Bamutia block of West Tripura, bringing together students, teachers and local residents.

During the session, CBC officials presented the objectives of the nationwide drug‑free campaign, highlighting preventive measures and the role of community support. Interactive discussions were conducted to sensitize participants about the provisions of the newly drafted Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which aims to modernise India’s criminal justice framework.

Educational materials, pamphlets and visual aids were distributed to reinforce key messages. Organisers said the outreach seeks to create a sustained awareness drive in schools across Tripura, encouraging a drug‑free environment and informed citizenry.

The programme concluded with a pledge ceremony where students committed to abstaining from substance abuse and supporting lawful conduct as envisaged by the new legal code.
