Cauvery water supply to be halted tomorrow in Bengaluru's KR Puram, Whitefield and Electronic City
Repair work on the main pipeline serving eastern and southern Bengaluru will cause a temporary suspension of Cauvery water supply tomorrow, affecting several neighbourhoods including KR Puram, Whitefield and Electronic City.
The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) announced that Cauvery water supply will be temporarily halted tomorrow due to repair work on the main pipeline serving the city.
The maintenance is taking place in the eastern and southern parts of Bengaluru, covering neighbourhoods such as KR Puram, Whitefield, Electronic City and other adjoining localities.
Residents have been advised to store water and use alternative sources until the supply is restored. BWSSB expects the repairs to be completed within a day, after which water service will resume.
The interruption is part of routine infrastructure upgrades aimed at preventing larger disruptions in the future.
