Police say cab driver Indusekar, who also publishes a Kannada‑English tabloid, admitted killing a family after a boy told investigators the driver had said they were ‘going on a trip’.
Bengaluru police have identified a cab driver, named Indusekar, as the suspect in the murder of a family whose bodies were discovered after a tragic incident in the city. The driver, who also runs a Kannada‑English monthly tabloid, was arrested following a thorough investigation.
According to statements recorded by investigators, a young boy who survived the attack narrated that the driver had told the family they were "going on a trip" before the violence erupted. The boy's account formed a key part of the police's reconstruction of events.
During interrogation, Indusekar allegedly confessed to the killings, a development confirmed by Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh. The commissioner said the confession aligns with forensic evidence and eyewitness testimony.
Authorities have opened a case file and are continuing to gather additional evidence, while the community mourns the loss of the victims. The investigation remains ongoing, and further legal action will be pursued under the Indian Penal Code.
