A bus conductor was killed by unknown assailants with a firearm behind the Bathinda bus stand after completing his shift.
A bus conductor was shot dead behind the Bathinda bus stand on Thursday evening, shortly after finishing his duties and heading towards his village.
According to eyewitnesses, unidentified individuals approached the conductor near the stand and opened fire with a lethal weapon, killing him on the spot. The victim was a regular employee of the local transport service, but his name has not been released pending family notification.
Police have cordoned off the area, collected forensic evidence and launched a murder investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who saw the incident or has information about the suspects to come forward.
