BSF Trooper Dies After Self‑Inflicted Gunshot

A member of the Border Security Force was discovered dead after sustaining a self‑inflicted gunshot wound, according to statements from the force's headquarters. The incident was reported early on, and the trooper's body was taken into custody for a post‑mortem examination.
Authorities have opened a formal inquiry to determine the circumstances that led to the suicide, and senior BSF officials have expressed condolences to the deceased's family.
While incidents involving self‑harm among security personnel are relatively uncommon, the BSF has indicated that it will review welfare and counseling provisions to address mental‑health concerns within its ranks.
