BSF Foils Cattle Smuggling Attempt Towards Bangladesh

Border Security Force (BSF) officers stationed along the India‑Bangladesh frontier intercepted a smuggling attempt involving cattle headed for Bangladesh. The operation, carried out early this week, prevented the illicit transport of livestock across the porous border. Details on the number of animals seized or the identities of the smugglers have not yet been released by the authorities. The BSF has reiterated its commitment to curb cross‑border smuggling activities and safeguard the integrity of the border.

The incident underscores ongoing challenges faced by security forces in monitoring and controlling illegal trade along the extensive India‑Bangladesh border. The BSF will continue to strengthen surveillance and cooperation with local authorities to deter similar attempts in the future.
