Brother-sister duo dupes Bhopal woman of ₹1 crore in fake tantric promise

Police in Bhopal say a brother and sister approached a woman, promising to use tantric practices and domestic harmony to secure the return of her son. Relying on the claim, the woman handed over cash and gold‑silver jewellery estimated at around one crore rupees.
The fraud came to light after the victim received a phone call concerning an outstanding payment to a jeweller, which prompted her to question the duo's motives. Upon verification, the woman realized she had been deceived.
The Crime Branch has registered a case against the siblings and launched an investigation to recover the stolen assets and prosecute those responsible.
