A collapsed sewer slab in Delhi has blocked a thoroughfare, prompting pedestrians to improvise by walking over wooden doors.
A section of a sewer slab in Delhi gave way, creating a gap that obstructed regular movement on the affected stretch. The break in the concrete structure left an open void that could not be crossed safely by foot traffic.
In response, local residents and commuters resorted to placing wooden doors across the opening, using them as makeshift bridges to continue their journeys. The improvised solution allowed pedestrians to maintain a flow of movement despite the hazard.
City officials were alerted to the situation, and work to repair the damaged slab has been scheduled. Meanwhile, authorities have advised the public to exercise caution and use the temporary wooden pathways only until permanent repairs are completed.
